GAMALIEL OF VIRGINIA

The mission of Gamaliel of Virginia is to make the resources of the Gamaliel Foundation available to the citizens of this state.

Gamaliel assists local community leaders to create, maintain and expand independent, grassroots, and powerful faith-based community organizations.

These organizations give ordinary people the tools they need to impact the political, social, economic, and environmental decisions that affect their lives.

Gamaliel provides the organizations created with

• leadership training programs,

• consultation,

• research and analysis on social justice issues.

These organization form the Gamaliel network where these organization assist one another in creating mutual learning environments and working coalitions of allies and partners.

The work of the network is coordinated through the Gamaliel Council of Presidents where each organization's board influences the affaires of the network through its president.
