organization will need:
a copy of Microsoft FrontPage 2002 (check to see what you already own. A previous copy of Front page or other web software may qualify you for an upgrade price.) You can still edit your site with Frontpage 2000, but Microsoft removed FrontPage 2000 from the market earlier this year. A computer purchased in the last three years will probably be able to run this software easily. (the hardware requirements are on the FrontPage box. It will be helpful if the organization owns one or both of the following: A scanner. This equipment allows you to do two
important things: 2. scan printed text to editable text The software that comes with most scanner is good enough to scan pictures and to do optical character resolution. and/or a digital camera. A digital camera. I recommend a minimum of 2.1 mega pixels. Your website is provided at no cost to the organization. You can purchase FrontPage for $30.00 maybe less if you qualify for an upgrade. You can by a decent scanner for under $100.00 You can find a good digital camera for $300.00 An organization on a tight budget can get this done for $300. This is the FrontPage scanner option. You will be able to scan pictures and graphics. Shop carefully for your scanner so that it includes software that enables you to edit pictures. You will be able to edit these pages 24/7. You
must call Don Burton (262) 639-5914) to receive the username and
password required to run this site. Each organization will need their own ISP (internet service provider). The cost is $15 to $30 dollars per month. Most organizations will not need unlimited access. Look for cost reductions by paying for your service annually. Regional offices and offices with more than one staff may wish to consider an ISP that provides multiple e-mail address. We will be providing further information on all of this after the first of the year. The latest copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer. If necessary, FrontPage will upgrade your browser when you install the software. |
