How change rows and tables on the
navigation bars in local and regional web sites
Note: There may be easier ways to do
this, but we are keeping things very simple to assure portability to a
new web host. We will be making a decision about a new
Web Host for Gamaliel. If and when that has been done, we can let front
page to things like this for us.
This following process takes from
10 to 20 minutes for a 16 page web site depending on your skill.
1. Logon and navigate to the page
you wish to change.
2. Click on "Edit with Microsoft Front Page"
3. Enter "Name" and "Password"
4. Answer "yes" to "do you want to check
out this page"
5. Click on the row or table you want to change.
6. Click on table/select/ row or table.
7. Click on edit/copy
8. In the Folder list (on your left), click the
"+" sign on the Affiliates folder.
9. Find the state where your organization is located,
click on the "+" sign.
10. Find your organization within the state, click on the
"+"
11. Click on the first page you want to change.
12. Answer "yes" to check out page.
13. Click on the row or table you want to change.
14. Click on table/select/row or table.
15. Click on the right mouse button/ paste [Note: the old row will be
retained below the new row. Do not attempt to
remove this row now. The old table is deleted by the paste process.]
16. Click on the save icon.
17. Click on the next page to be changed in the folder list.
18. Repeat steps 8-16 until you have changed all the pages you need to
change.
19. On the last page you have updated, click on the row that needs to
be removed.
20. Click on table/select/row
21. Click the right mouse button/delete cells.
22. Click on the save icon.
23. Repeat these steps 17-22 until all the old rows are removed.
24. "Check in" each page by clicking edit/check in.
25. Close front page.
26. Load the website using the browser to make sure make sure that the links have not been disturbed.
