HOW TO USE THIS WEB SITE

Navigation Bars

There are three Navigation Bars on most pages of this site. These navigation bars comprise the site map, clicking the underlined link will take you to the a different portion of this web site. These navigation bars appear on every page so you can move quickly to any part of "gamaliel.org."

The only exception to this when a link takes you to another site on the world wide web. In this case you are reminded to use your browser's back button to return to "Gamaliel.org." If the external site will not let your return, please type "http://www.gamaliel.org" in your browsers navigation bar. If you make "gamaliel.org" your start page (see below) simply click on the "home" button, the little house icon at the top of your browser.

UPPER RIGHT NAVIGATION BAR

The Upper Right navigation bar gives you specific information about an aspect of the work of the Gamaliel Network. For example, "about us" gives a brief history of the Gamaliel Foundation; "resources" lists the various ways the Gamaliel Foundation builds powerful justice seeking communities; Clicking on "Staff" will take you to a Directory of the National Staff of the Gamaliel Foundation.

A major purpose of this site is to facilitate communication among members of the network. While there is no substitute for face to face community, this site gives us an opportunity to build an online community. In this online community, we will be able to follow-up on our one-on-ones, continue our conversations, and work together to move local, regional, territorial, and national agendas..

When a person's e-mail address is underlined, clicking on that link will pop up a blank e-mail screen addressed to that person. Then you may write your message and click "send." If this does not happen, it means that your computer is not set up for e-mail or your browser does not support this routine. Please consult your documentation to set-up an e-mail account.

A number of pages provide a link to a change of address form. Please supply all the information requested the first time you use the change of address form. After the first time you identify your role in the network, give us your name, organization  and the specific "corrected" information. The usefulness of this site will depend on all of us who use it keeping our information up to date.. Thank you for your help.

MIDDLE NAVIGATION BAR

Clicking on one of this links will bring you to a major division of the Gamaliel Network's work. Clicking on "National Leadership Assembly" takes you to information about this aspect of our work. Remember the UPPER RIGHT NAVIGATION BAR explains various aspects of this division's work.

Clicking on "the Gamaliel Foundation" then training brings you to the Gamaliel Event Calendar and links you to ON-LINE REGISTRATION. When you have  submitted your registration information (Click on the "submit" at the bottom of the page), the reservation confirmation screen will appear. Organizers are able to down load pre-event information supplied by event planners, directions and links to information about the host city for the event. These materials are found in the Organizer Resource Center.

On the MIDDLE NAVIGATION BAR is the link to "Our National and International Affiliates." This will be an important link to know. It contains the complete directory of network organizations, including contact persons.

It addition we are providing space here for your regional and local organization's web-site. Each organization who has a registered Web master will be able to manage their own site. Click on Web Master on the lower navigation bar for more information.

THE LOWER NAVIGATION BAR

The links on this bar are designed to help us with our work. Our document library continues to grow each week. There are several different library collections. You will find organizational documents, major speeches given at network events, as well as documents supporting issue campaigns adopted by this network. If you know of or are in possession of such a document please e-mail it as an attachment to
Rev. Don Burton.

THE SIDE BARS

We are in the process of giving this site a new face. Part of this includes the addition of side bar navigation on some pages. Currently the sidebars include links to the following:

Online Registration

Registration for all Gamaliel Events is done in relationship with an affiliate organization or upon referral of National Staff. It is important that those who use this site supply as much information as possible. The registration forms in our brochures include a method of collecting the necessary information.

Organizer Resource Center

This part of gamaliel.org is password protected. This enables us to provide better support for our organizers and trainers.

National Immigration Campaign

This is the network's first National Campaign. Here you will be able to participate in and track the progress of this work.

Network Bulletin Board

This allows network leaders to communication without the intervention of the webmaster. This will be a good place to report victories, ask questions, etc. You will be able to initiate a "news group" like threaded discussion. Reply to the specific message. To add a message click on post and follow the instructions. Remember that messages posted here are in the public domain. Therefore, the language of this message should support the mission of this network in appropriate language. The webmaster monitors this bulleting board and will delete inappropriate communication.

MetroEquity Department

This site is now underdevelopment and should be used in connection with our strategic partner site. These two sites will help us all understand the analysis that stands behind our work.

Leader Resource Center

This site is also under development. Leaders can currently find contact information for people who attended training with them.
