After months of spirited collaboration between Gamaliel’s Website Design Team and Gravitate Design Studio (www.gravitatedesign.com), and with valuable feedback from Gamaliel’s Website Advisory Task Force, we are proud to unveil our new logo and online home.

The new logo represents Gamaliel’s individual member organizations uniting to create a single, powerful whole.  We believe this new visual identity beautifully reflects Gamaliel’s structure and purpose as we enter our 25th year of organizing to empower ordinary people to effectively participate in the political, environmental, social and economic decisions affecting their lives.

The new website is not only easy on the eyes, it is easy to use. All the functions and sections you are familiar with have been retained and are more accessible. You will also discover a newly simplified and streamlined events calendar and registration component, as well as a blog that will let us share our thoughts and respond to important issues more easily. The site is easy to update to reflect our ongoing work together. We are, however, resolving some final issues with the Events Registration module on the new site. If you experience any difficulty registering online, please call 312-357-2639 to register by phone.

Please note that a Spanish-language version of the site is available by clicking “Espanol” on the bottom left. While the Spanish-language offerings are not yet as full as the English-language site, they will be expanded in the future.

Special thanks and congratulations are extended to the Website Design Project Team—Don Burton, Stephen Boykewich, Mario Gonzalez, Nancy Hoch and Ann Smith—for the many hours of lively debate, scrutiny, research, and just plain hard work that go into this kind of creative process. A very special thanks is extended to Don Burton. Without his tireless efforts and skills we would not have had a website in the first place. His many contributions as Gamaliel’s Communications Director are inestimable. Thanks also to the Website Advisory Task Force, whose members represented all the Gamaliel Tables.

Please use and enjoy the new site. We’re confident you’ll find it a great step forward for Gamaliel.
