Dear Gamaliel Colleagues: There are many key Gamaliel Events in June, notably the African American Leadership Commission conference in Pittsburgh on June 21-22 (details), and the June 19th March to the White House for passage of Comprehensive Immigration Reform (to which all Gamaliel Religious Leaders are invited--contact Juan Soto at juan_f_soto@sbcglobal.net for more information). We are hoping that some of our leaders who are are unable to attend these key Gamaliel events in June, might be able to the Sojourners Pentecost Event in Washington, D.C. I am writing to encourage you and/or your lay leaders to attend the Sojourners/Call to Renewal Pentecost Event in Washington, D.C on June 3-6. Gamaliel has entered into a dynamic and mutually beneficial partnership with Sojourners/Call to Renewal. We have committed to having 50 leaders from across the Network attend this event – a highlight of which will be a forum featuring Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton, and John Edwards.
