Faith and Equity in Action

On Sunday, November 19th   from 3:30-5:30 pm, ABLE is sponsoring a Faith and Equity Event at First Iconium Baptist Church.  Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory of the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta will be the keynote speaker.  At this event experts will address seven issues: Economic Gap, Workforce Housing, Education, Transportation, Immigration, Healthcare, and Beltline Development.

ABLE (Atlantans Building Leadership for Empowerment) is a metro-wide inter-racial inter-faith organizing effort involving congregations, unions, and community groups working together for social justice.  Please e-mail this information to others who you think may be interested in attending, including those who are directly affected by these issues.

Attached is a flyer concerning the Faith and Equity Event. We encourage congregations to include this flyer with their bulletin next Sunday.  Also attached is a sign up sheet to use to recruit others in your organization to attend this important event.  Please direct others to our website at www.gamaliel.org/able to learn more about ABLE.
