HOW WE CAN MAKE HISTORY ON
OCTOBER
28, 2007 The time is now to bring this region together to make some significant changes. People of faith must lead the way. The ABLE (Atlantans Building Leadership for Empowerment) Public Meeting on October 28, 2007 is a huge step in “Uniting Our Community for Justice”. 1500 people from Metro Atlanta, from various walks of life and cultures, will come together to demand a better quality of life for all residents of this region. October 28th is our chance to stand together to say to our political leaders in Georgia, “We are not going to be divided anymore! We demand that you work with us to create solutions for healthcare reform, quality public education, and immigration reform." Sure, you can stay at home, take a nap, watch TV, or make dinner. But if you don’t join us, then disunity triumphs, fear and prejudice prevail, and narrow political interest groups will continue to control the politicians in this State whether they are Democratic or Republican.
Meet us at Cascade United Methodist Church 3144 Cascade Rd. S.W., Atlanta, GA 30311 3:30pm to 5:00pm
A VIP Reception will be held for Member Clergy and Public Officials beginning at 2:30 p.m. (Clergy please confirm your attendance) Cascade United Methodist Church will be providing free shuttle services from Kroger’s Grocery Store – 3425 Cascade Rd.
