ABLE
LEADERSHIP MEETING ON JULY 31st
ABLE/Gamaliel exists
to identify leaders, and then nurture, train, and develop those leaders
so that together their voices can be heard. We meet monthly
on the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
This month we will be focusing on Good Jobs for Working Families.
Come learn why it is so hard for workers to get ahead today and what can
be done to change that. Hear workers tell what happened to them
when they tried to organize into a union. Charlie Flemming,
President of the Atlanta North Georgia Labor Council, will give
facts about why workers and the middle class continue to fall behind as
a few in this country reap the benefits at an alarming rate. Learn
about the Employee Free Choice Act that will help restore the balance of
economic power in our country.
Congregations and
organizations are encouraged to send six or more individuals who are
interested in developing their leadership skills to the ABLE Leadership
Meeting on Tues. July 31 at 7:00 PM at First Iconium Baptist Church, 542
Moreland Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30316.
