ABLE Leadership Meeting on Tuesday, April 24th

 7:00 PM

First Iconium Baptist Church

ARE OUR CHILDREN BEING LEFT BEHIND?

We will evaluate the impact of state austerity cuts and No Child Left Behind legislation are having on our children.  David Schutten, President of the Organization of DeKalb Educators, and other educators will agitate us to take action!

ABLE/Gamaliel exists to identify leaders, and then nurture, train, and develop those leaders so that together their voices can be heard.  We will evaluate commitments made last month and set the next steps for ABLE’s 2007 Strategic Plan!!!

Sherita Edwards, ABLE’s new fulltime organizer,  was the Executive Director and Community Organizer for the Gamaliel Foundation and ISAAC (Interfaith Strategy for Advocacy & Action in the Community) in Kalamazoo, Michigan,  a powerful grassroots organization working for justice.

Congregations and organizations are encouraged to send three or more individuals who are interested in developing their leadership skills to the ABLE Leadership Meeting on Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00 PM
at First Iconium Baptist Church, 542 Moreland Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30316.
