A MESSAGE AND ANNOUNCEMENT FROM OUR GENERAL SECRETARY 

The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference will continue to live up to its call be the social justice network to organize and resource the Black Church.   In the words of Dr. Martin King, Jr., "There is amazing power in unity.  Where there is true unity, every effort to disunite only serves to strengthen the unity."    Indeed, this media attack has been an attack on the prophetic tradition of the Black Church and our sacred traditions.  

We are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of your prayers, support and affirmations for Trinity United Church of Christ and our trustees, Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. and Rev. Otis Moss III.  I am pleased to let you know that the online community of faith has been strengthened. 

There is a new blog – "The Truth About Trinity..."  (http://truthabouttrinity.blogspot.com/)  Its mission is to provide the truth to the public about the awesome ministry at Trinity United Church of Christ.

You will soon receive other information from us that will be outlining additional communication strategies and congregational resources to sustain and grow this phenomenal demonstration of unity.  May each of you, and the congregation and organization you represent, be truly strengthened during this Holy Week.  May we individually and collectively experience the resurrected Spirit of the Son of God so that we might continue to run this race a little further.
