  3. Actions: Meet with Congressman/Senators in district to secure support on VRA. 
  4. Connecting Local Power: Include VRA in public meetings/coalition building.

5.   Connecting National Power : Join AALC visits to New Orleans & Congressional Black    

      Caucus in D.C. for Accountability on Katrina Restoration & VRA Renewal.

Congressman asked to support AALC/Gamaliel National Strategy on VRA, and Katrina Restoration by agreeing to and following through with the following actions:

    1) Co-sponsor/ Support Temporary Renewal of Voting Rights Act Reauthorization;  

    2) And set up meeting between AALC delegation and Congressional Black; 

     Caucus in Washington, DC;

          3) Demand new federal dollars for Katrina Restoration strategy.
